Ravens officials are on the verge of stopping sales of new PSLs at M&T Bank Stadium and creating what the Green Bay Packers and other elite NFL franchises have enjoyed for years - a waiting list for season tickets.

The Green Bay Packers have a backlog of more than 90,000 fans hoping and praying -- and more than anything, waiting -- for just the chance to buy season tickets. Those fans can wait more than a decade and more sign up every day.

"We've sold about as much [of the PSLs] as we can sell," said Baker Koppelman, director of ticket sales for the Ravens. "We feel like it's time to shut down and move onto the next step, and the next step is a waiting list."

When the Ravens launched their PSL program with their arrival in 1996, team officials hoped to sell between 55,000 and 60,000 of the licenses. To this point, the Ravens have sold nearly 62,000 PSLs, which are purchased for a one-time fee. The PSL permits fans to buy season tickets.
